Le, pron.
1. them. Io — conosco, I know them. It is placed after the pron. gli, and becomes gliele: it is prefixed to mi, ti, si, ci, vi, but if placed after, mi, ti, si, &c., are changed into me, te, se, &c. Se volete, io — vi donerò, or io vele donerò. If you wish, I'll give them to you. To ne it may be placed either before or after: 2. her, to her, from her. — direte da parte mia, tell her from me. Parlatele, speak to her. Io — tolsi un bacio, I took from her a kiss.
