Abbát-tere, v. a.
1. to throw, cast, pull, strike down. — la vela, to strike sail. — un bastimento fino alla chiglia, to lay a ship on her beam ends; 2. to humble, bring low, depress; 3. to kill; 4. to abate, deduct; v. n. 1. to meet with by chance, hit upon.
