Spazzá-re, v. a.
1. to sweep, clean the floor, &c., to take away or remove dirt, &c.; 2. (met.) to void, evacuate, clear; 3. to strike, beat, cudgel.— le reni, to bang, maul, belabour one. — le difese, (mil. t.) to sweep away, batter down the defences; v. r. 1. to set one's self free; 2. to ease one's self; s. m.
