Euronotus, A northeast winde.Eurôpa.The third part of the world, denided from Asia wyth the great seas Hellespontus, Propontis, Bosohorus, Thracius, and Pontus Euxinus, and hath the most bounds, in the northest, the riuer Tanais. And om Affrike it is deuided by the middle sea. It was also the name of a fayre mayden, daughter of Agenor king of Phœnicia, whom Iupiter (transsorming himselfe into the forme of a Bull,) did cauish, as Poets write: which of some is interpreted, that Iupiter carried hir away by force into a shippe, in the decke or maste wherof was a Banner or Streamer, wherein was painted a Bul.
