Camarina, A marrice or fenne in Sicilie, by a citie of the same name, the stinking waters whereof, when they engendered a plagne, the inhabitauntes consulted with Apolld, whether it shoulde be prositable for them to drie that marrice or no: to whom the Oracle aunswered, that it would not bee good for them. Not withstanding the counsaile of the Oracle, they by trenches founde meanes to drie the marrice. by whyche place not long after their enemies entred and spoyled theyr citie.
